Jade Connect is built local-first. Your financial information is stored and processed only on your device. We do not create accounts, collect your identity, or send your transactions to our servers.

1.Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Jade Connect (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our personal finance application. We designed Jade Connect so that you remain in control of your data. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2.Information We Collect

All information you enter is kept locally on your device. This may include:

• Accounts, balances, and currencies.
• Transactions, categories, notes, tags, and attachments.
• Budgets, savings goals, debts, and recurring payments.
• Preferences such as theme, base currency, and privacy settings.

3.How We Use Information

Your information is used solely to provide the App’s features on your device, including:

• Calculating balances, budgets, cash flow, and net worth.
• Generating reports, forecasts, insights, and your financial-health score.
• Remembering your preferences and settings.

All of this processing happens on-device. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

4.Data Storage

Your data is stored in the App’s secure local storage on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. It leaves your device only if you explicitly choose to export it (for example, through the “Export Data” feature), at which point the exported file is under your control.

5.Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

• Optional Face ID / Touch ID and an application lock to restrict access.
• Sensitive values held in the operating system’s secure storage (Keychain) and encrypted at rest on-device.
• Because data is local, its safety also depends on your device being locked, updated, and under your control.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6.User Rights

Because your data lives on your device, you have direct and complete control:

• Access & portability: view and export your data at any time.
• Correction: edit any entry directly in the App.
• Deletion: delete individual items, or erase everything via Settings → Data & Backup → Reset. Uninstalling the App permanently removes all local data.

7.Third-Party Services

Jade Connect does not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. The App may make a limited, read-only network request that does not transmit your personal or financial information:

• Remote configuration / maintenance: a request to a configuration endpoint (e.g. /api/config) to check whether the service is available and whether an update is required. It sends no information about you.

If a feature that relies on an external provider is enabled in the future (for example, public exchange rates), it will only request the data needed for that feature and will not send your personal amounts.

8.Children’s Privacy

Jade Connect is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can address it.

9.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the current version, and significant changes will be indicated within the App.
